FAQ:

What is the manila rope used for?
Malina rope is a classic. This rope is a long-time favorite for a large variety of uses.
Widely used in different applications such as decorative rope, landscape rope, climbing rope, exercise rope, and tug-o-war rope.

What is Manila Rope?
Sometimes referred to as “hemp rope”, is manufactured from the strongest natural fibers available of the abaca plant grown in the Philippines. Manila rope provides high strength with very good resistance to abrasion and low stretch.

Why choose our ropes?
Natural, traditional look. Strong and durable, with low stretch. Less bark and debris means the rope is smoother and you will get fewer splinters.
Produced with the utmost attention to detail, and from durable materials, our offerings are meant to find their place in your home and your life.

Can I cut this rope?
Yes, you can cut it for as long as you want.
BUT be sure to tape wrap or whip the ends before you do to prevent it from unraveling.

Does this have a fuel oil smell to it?
Yes, there's a slight smell. As stated, treated with oil during the traditional manufacturing process.
This is to increase the life span, improve the performance of the rope, and to protect it.

Why does my rope have an odor?
The production of manila rope involves the addition of cordage oil to the fibers in preparation for being twisted into rope. The oil will dry into the rope over time and the smell will dissipate.

How do you get the smell out of a hemp rope?
Mix a solution of white vinegar and water within equal parts and pour within a spray bottle, and spray the twine down with this formula.
